Meet The Team

The people who will be working with you

Alistair Moffat

Alistair Moffat

Director

Alistair is in charge of all the bookkeeping operations. There is nothing he likes more than diving into a pile of bookkeeping paperwork and his capacity for continuous bookkeeping for long periods of time without drawing breath has to be admired. He knows his stuff and loves working with clients and his team to support them to provide ‘bullet proof’ bookkeeping services.

Back in the day before he came into the world of bookkeeping and got his bookkeeping qualifications, he was ‘Mr Data’ working for various blue chip companies doing supply chain, Forecasting, Production planning etc.

In his personal life, he enjoys Jazz, football and pottering around on his Vespa.

Lynne Moffat

Lynne Moffat

Director

Lynne is responsible for business development and ensuring that clients are getting the service from The Bookkeeping Department that they want and need. She also provides bookkeeping services to a range of clients and runs our Xero workshops and supports businesses with setting up and using Xero software for their bookkeeping.

Before she came into the world of bookkeeping, Lynne was a HR Manager and so she brought with her a very ‘people orientated’ approach which ensures our clients are fully supported.

In her personal time, Lynne enjoys family time with her husband and young son and putting her nose in a good book.

Gary

Gary

Senior Bookkeeper

Gary has been bookkeeping since he left school (yes that’s quite a while) so he is a great asset to the team. Gary works directly with lots of clients – some work he does from our office and others where he works on their premises as part of their team. He has a great capacity for work, cares a lot about our clients and a nicer person you couldn’t possibly meet.

Caroline

Caroline

Bookkeeper

Caroline is an experienced member of the Bookkeeping team and works with a whole range of clients that she is responsible for across all sectors. The additional commitment she gives to the clients she works with and her ability to find humour in situations makes her a great asset to our team. Caroline enjoys her family time, socialising and exercising (but please don’t ask her about Bootcamp right now).

Rosie Rafferty

Rosie Rafferty

Bookkeeper

Rosie is an experienced member of the Bookkeeping team; having changed direction from her previous career as an engineering geologist, she still enjoys working with numbers but gets less muddy in the process.  She works part-time, spending time on site with clients or working from our Hitchin office, and is responsible for a whole range of clients across all sectors. Rosie’s calm and friendly personality combined with her attention to detail in her work are a great asset to the team. Rosie enjoys her family time, running and playing music and can very often be seen cycling to work in the rain.

Teresa Purkis

Teresa Purkis

Administration & Systems

Teresa works with us to manage the office administration and systems and is also a great asset to us in terms of business development. Teresa believes in ‘delighting your customers’, has boundless positive energy for working on different projects and tasks which makes her a great person for ‘getting things done’. Teresa is very family orientated but doesn’t really do spare time – it’s usually filled with something she has is involved in or organising.

Owen Marvel

Owen Marvel

Bookkeeper

Owen is the newest member of our bookkeeping team, he is full-time and he carries out bookkeeping across a large amount of our clients. He has a fun personality and a huge capacity and desire for learning and always likes to be first to get to grips with the new technologies we are using.  Outside of work he enjoys his football and socialising with his friends (outside of his study for his AAT qualification).
